F_U Paste Me is a convenient browser extension that enables pasting in input fields, even in those where pasting is disabled. It enhances user experience by allowing the pasting of complex passwords from password managers in scenarios where autofill may not be fully supported. The extension presets the paste shortcut according to the user's device, using `⌘Cmd + V` for Mac and `Ctrl + V` for Windows and Linux, with the option to customize these shortcuts to individual preferences.
However, there are some limitations to consider. The extension supports force pasting in specific input types such as email, number, password, search, tel, text, and URL fields. Notably, select and replace pasting is available for all supported inputs except for email and number fields, which would be overwritten upon pasting. Additionally, force pasting in fields where pasting is disabled may not work if the field's text is entirely selected. In such cases, clearing the field before pasting resolves this issue.
